ÅÝܽÊÓƵ athletics demonstrated holiday spirit with another record number of food items for in its annual Christmas food drive.
ÅÝܽÊÓƵ student-athletes collected 20,181 non-perishable food items to help feed the hungry of the community – 8,185 more than last year’s record total. The ÅÝܽÊÓƵ athletics annual food drive has piled up 70,027 food items over the past nine years.
°¿°ä±«â€™s men’s soccer team brought in the most items with 6,000. An unprecedented seven ÅÝܽÊÓƵ teams among the Stars’ 21 intercollegiate varsity programs exceeded 1,000 items.
The ÅÝܽÊÓƵ athletic department enlisted the aid of several ÅÝܽÊÓƵ campus departments as well as its fans to contribute to the effort.
